I have a bunch of finished but plain spoons in sassafras, oak and black cherry so I thought I would use them as practice pieces for kohlrosing and chip carving. I still need more practice, bit it is fun to try something new. I really like the way the cinnamon went into the sassafras grain and made it pop in addition to the kohlrosing.
